Not all the savings are for PC gamers, but that is where the easiest discounts can be obtained. Two authorized retailers have sizable discounts. The popular GMG is giving Wildlands an 18% price break to $49.29 for the PC Uplay digital copy. Slightly better is GamersGate with a 20% price drop to $48 for the Standard Edition or $80 for the most expensive Gold Edition of Ghost Recon: Wildlands. Both GMG and GamersGate are authorized retailers by Ubisoft and purchases include the pre-order bonuses.

The game clocks in at a 40GB download and you’ll need plenty more space available on storage for the install. If you have a slow internet connection, pre-ordering and pre-loading this weekend will be a good idea.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands: $47. 99 (Xbox One, PS4) Requires GCU membership at Best Buy

Ghost Recon: Wildlands: Standard, Deluxe, or Gold?

With the discount in effect, it’s not as expensive to upgrade from the standard edition (at least for PC gamers). One might ask if it’s worthwhile to upgrade, below we’ll break down what’s in each edition. so you can decide which copy of Ghost Recon: Wildlands you should buy. We should mention off the bat that all retailers listed above will get you the “Peruvian Connection” pre-order bonus mission.

The Deluxe Edition of the game includes the base game plus the Deluxe Pack. Think an exclusive weapon, gear, a vehicle, and experience boosters. When you buy deluxe you get:

The Wilderness rifle The Huntsman motorbike 3 emblems 3 weapon camos 3 character customization items XP booster

The Wilderness rifle is a unique shotgun with an engraved finish. Some of the exclusive character customization items are the light hunting jacket, the sapper backpack, and the Oakley SI straight jacket fire glasses.

If you’re thinking about going with the Gold Edition it doesn’t look like you’ll be getting any real advantages on Day 1 (vs the Deluxe Edition of Ghost Recon: Wildlands). Gold is essentially just the Deluxe Edition + Season Pass.

The Season Pass will be two major DLC expansions not available at launch and will release later in the year. If you enjoyed the Open Beta and know you’ll be seeking more content later in the year, the Gold Edition is the way to go.

If you planned on spending $60 anyway on Ghost Recon: Wildlands - you can now get the Deluxe Edition (for PC at least) at less than the Standard Edition list price. Is the extra content worth it? At the end, this depends on how big of a fan you are of the Ghost Recon series and how much you enjoyed the Open Beta.
