The trailer opens with a monologue from what figures to be the main antagonist from the game, showing the deep rooted corruption that plagues the land. Players are dropped into Bolivia to oppose the Santa Blanca Cartel who have the country in a tight grip, where citizen either submit to the group in exchange for common necessities such as jobs, shelter, and medicine. For those that oppose the group, misery is shown in the form of crying families, destroyed villages and the promise of death.

The individual with the body tattoos seen in previous trailers is shown towards the end as the camera pulls back revealing the Ghosts chasing cartel members in an exciting car chase sequence. One of the members of Team Ghost is on a nearby hill, taking the driver out from an impressive sniper shot, that ends up rolling the car multiple times. The trailer ends with the squad of four on top of the hill looking down at an expansive landscape with tons of mission markers waiting to be completed.
An extended gameplay demo was also shown off during the press conference, giving players a very detailed look at what they’ll be doing when the game launches early next year on March 7, 2017. Ubisoft promises that Ghost Recon Wildlands features the biggest map the company has ever created, letting players tackle it as a lone wolf, in a group of four players similar to Tom Clancy’s The Division, or a mix of the two styles.
Ghost Recon Wildlands was initially teased at the end of Ubisoft’s 2015 E3 press conference, but since then the game has been relatively quiet. Leading up to E3 2016, Ubisoft has begun ramping up coverage as a new trailer released a few weeks ago giving fans another look at the upcoming open world title.
