While Tango Gameworks is now owned by Microsoft, Ghostwire: Tokyo is a PS5 console exclusive for a limited time. Its unique exclusivity deal is the same as Deathloop’s, which was generally considered to be one of the best games of 2021. Ghostwire: Tokyo will most probably release on Xbox consoles after this exclusivity period ends, and it should be available on Xbox Game Pass on the same day. In addition to the PS5 version, Ghostwire: Tokyo will also launch on PC, and Tango Gameworks has now detailed its system requirements.

As per its official Steam page, Ghostwire: Tokyo will require an Nvidia GTX 1060 or an RX 5500 XT at the minimum, along with an i7 4770K for Intel users. The recommended specs ask players to have an Nvidia GTX 1080 or an RX 5600 XT. Both minimum and recommended system requirements need at least a Ryzen 5 2600 for AMD users. It seems like Ghostwire: Tokyo will take around 20 GB of space, and an SSD is recommended although not required.

The full system requirements for Ghostwire: Tokyo are:

MINIMUM: Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system OS: 64-BIT WINDOWS 10 VERSION 1909 OR HIGHER Processor: CORE I7 4770K @ 3. 5GHZ OR AMD RYZEN 5 2600 Memory: 12 GB RAM Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 1060 OR AMD RX 5500 XT (VRAM 6 GB OR HIGHER) DirectX: Version 12 Storage: 20 GB available space Additional Notes: SSD Storage Recommended

RECOMMENDED: Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system OS: 64-BIT WINDOWS 10 VERSION 1909 OR HIGHER Processor: CORE I7 6700 @ 3. 4GHZ OR AMD RYZEN 5 2600 Memory: 16 GB RAM Graphics: NVIDIA GTX 1080 OR AMD RX 5600 XT (VRAM 6 GB OR HIGHER) DirectX: Version 12 Storage: 20 GB available space Additional Notes: SSD Storage

It looks like most players should not have any difficulty in meeting the minimum specs for Ghostwire: Tokyo and GTX 1060 is still one of the most popular cards on Steam. It’s great to see that only 20 GB is required, as modern games are asking players to download 50-100 GB of data. Ghostwire: Tokyo never looked like an extremely demanding game, to begin with, but it’s still reassuring to know that most fans will not have to upgrade their PCs.

As it stands, PC parts are still difficult to find at MRP. Players have had to pay way over MRP to get their hands on the latest Nvidia GPUs, and this trend is bound to continue whenever Nvidia launches the 4000 series.

Ghostwire Tokyo is one of many horror games that are coming out in 2022. Dying Light 2 is now available on almost all platforms, with a Switch version scheduled to release later this year via the cloud. Fans can also look forward to STALKER 2: Heart of Chernobyl, with is also coming out later this year.

Ghostwire: Tokyo launches March 25 for PC and PS5.
