New York on Monday pulled its $60 million contract offer for Pierre-Paul, NFL.com reported. Pierre-Paul was unlikely to sign the contract anyway, according to the report.

Pierre-Paul was expected to recover from the incident. The 26-year-old on July 4 reportedly suffered severe burns on his palm and three fingers, and one finger potentially had nerve damage.
The Giants placed a fully-guaranteed $14.8 million franchise tag on Pierre-Paul, but he has not signed it. He has until July 15 to make that decision.
But the Giants may end up pulling the franchise tag offer, as well, Yahoo! Sports pointed out.
The Giants are still collecting information about what happened.
