Kelly Hume was traveling in the car driven by her older sister when the vehicle left the roadway in Crown Point, Lake County city, on Saturday night. The teenager was thrown from the car at about 8 p.m. in the 4500 block of West 113th Avenue in the single-car accident, police said. She was pronounced dead at the scene, having died from blunt force trauma, the Northwest Indiana Times reported....
The seven-year-old girl and man, 29, were in their vehicle at the McDonald’s drive-thru on the 3200-block of W. Roosevelt at around 4:15 p.m. on Sunday. According to ABC7, a McDonald’s employee saw two men jump out of another car in the drive-thru lane and open fire when they got close to the vehicle. The young girl was shot multiple times and the man was hit in the torso. At least 30 shell casings were found close to the car....

According to ESPN.com, the team reportedly signed Brett Jones, who was named top offensive lineman in 2014 by the Canadian Football League.
