Ghost of Tsushima is heading for a big-screen adaptation with John Wick director Chad Stahelski at the helm. This could seem like a good idea, as the game has a great story, but the long history of failed adaptations tells a story that wounds the perception of the potential adaptation. Police officers arrived at Heatley State Primary School in Townsville, Queensland, just before midday local time on Monday and found the girl armed with a knife. The student was taken into custody after officers gave the girl multiple verbal commands before using a “conductive energy device” on her, Queensland Police said in a statement. Sucker Punch announced the news in its latest blog post, which states that the Tale of Iyo will require players to have a four-person team already prepared before it allows them to enter. The developer indirectly states that matchmaking won’t be possible because of how challenging the raid will be. At a bare minimum, it wants players to be at Ki level 100 before they even think of attempting it....

It should be said that the two’s similarities only go about that deep. While it’s true that they have somewhat interchangeable beginnings, the mechanics of each game could not be more different. Nevertheless, it is interesting to see some of the common story beats which tie Ghost of Tsushima and Sekiro together, especially at the beginning. Ghost of Tsushima is set during the first Mongol invasion of Japan in the late 13th century. While crossing the strait that lays between Korea and Japan, the Mongols landed first on the island of Tsushima, and then on Iki. Both islands put up a brave resistance against the invaders but were ultimately overwhelmed by sheer numbers. Although the story of Tsushima is thoroughly explored in Ghost of Tsushima, the new island of Iki isn’t mentioned....

In July 2020, Ghost of Tsushima was released to widespread acclaim. Regarded by many as one of the best adventure games in a long time, Ghost of Tsushima has been reserved a slot on many top 10 Game of the Year lists for 2020. One of the many things that Ghost of Tsushima did right was its dedicated world-building. Its painstaking recreation of the real-life Tsushima Island unexpectedly cast the island it was based on in the spotlight recently....

Although Sucker Punch and Sony are keeping quiet about the Ghost of Tsushima release date, a Swedish retailer may have just leaked the info. Spelbutiken.se’s listing for the PS4 exclusive stated that the game would be available on August 30, 2019. Retailers occasionally list placeholder dates for games without official release dates, with the placeholders often reflecting a date at the end of the month. That said, August 30 isn’t the last day of the month and it is a Friday, which is when games in the region are released....
